Pacing The Panic Room: the belly pictures series
The daddy of this “bump” made a photo series of his pregnant mama with notes for their little one. The whole thing is so amazing and I can’t imagine how cool this will be for their family to have forever. Click through for all the photos, including the last one which has pictures of the baby, out of the bump, following his entry into this world via home birth.

What a mess, and such important information of which to be aware.
Reblogged from telegantmess:
“A new video from the fabulous National Advocates for Pregnant Women, about the new crop of personhood bills that are popping up in states around the country and why they are bad for all pregnant women–whether you are terminating your pregnancy or not.
This is the type of legislation that birth advocates and abortion activists need to rally together and fight against, because they will limit all our choices–from abortions to home births. If we give fetus’ rights that compete with the mother’s, we’re all in danger.”

Explanation of why results of studies on circumcision and HIV transmission rates in Africa cannot be generalized, and flaws with the circumcision research and its interpretation.
My editorial comment: All of that aside, the belief that baby boys come into this world with a birth defect that requires surgical removal of part of their bodies is just completely bizarre to me. I hope for a day when male circumcision is seen the same way that much of the world views female circumcision, as a human rights issue. I personally see no difference and think we all come into this world as we’re meant to be.

Part (1 of 2)
Part 2 is here.
This is a very informative video that I highly recommend. There are so many social and medical myths about circumcision that it takes extra due diligence to truly consider this surgical procedure.
